(Formerly Adrian C. Collins)
From Earning Love to Becoming It
Speaker, writer, and advocate who shares her journey through adoption, motherhood, faith—and the courage it takes to start over.
Book Adrian to Speak

I spent decades believing I had to earn love—through perfect performance, relentless mothering, and getting everything right. At 19, I relinquished my daughter for adoption. I raised three biological sons, adopted a fourth, and eventually re-adopted my daughter when she turned 18. Then, at 50, I faced the challenge of starting over.
Through it all, God has been teaching me what it means to stop earning and start receiving—to become the love I've been searching for all along. My story isn't a tidy redemption arc. It's messy, nuanced, and real. It's about the grace we extend to others and the grace we struggle to give ourselves. It's about discovering that God's love isn't something we achieve—it's something we receive, rest in, and reflect to others.
I've testified before the Colorado Senate on adoption legislation, been featured on Today Show Parents, and published in outlets including CBN News, Christian Post, Love What Matters, Her View From Home, and Grown and Flown. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Point Loma Nazarene University and am completing my memoir, Trimesters.
Whether speaking to birth mothers, adoptive families, women rebuilding after loss, or anyone wrestling with performance Christianity, I bring compassion, honesty, and hard-won hope to every conversation.
A powerful message about the cost of performance Christianity and what it means to receive God's love instead of earning it. Perfect for women's retreats, church conferences, and faith-based gatherings.
An honest look at rebuilding after loss—not a "I found myself" story, but the unglamorous work of starting over with faith as your foundation. For women navigating unexpected transitions.
The nuanced story of placing a daughter for adoption, living with grief and hope, and eventually re-adopting her as an adult. Ideal for adoption agencies, foster care organizations, and anyone touched by adoption.
For the woman who's mothered everyone else and forgotten how to mother herself. Honest, practical, and deeply encouraging for MOMCO groups and mothers' ministry events.
